About

I'm Jonathan — a senior fullstack engineer currently at Super.com. I've spent the past seven years moving fluidly between backend systems, frontend interfaces, and the unglamorous glue in between. My favourite kind of problem is the one nobody else has time to pick up — the load-bearing, strange-shaped thing that quietly unblocks everyone else.

I tend to optimize for clarity over cleverness, shipping over polish, and small well-named things over grand abstractions. I like working with people who care about the craft and aren't precious about being right.

Now

Building at Super.com, where the surface area is wide and the work tends to be whatever the current challenge calls for.

Tech I reach for

Python, TypeScript, Postgres, and increasingly Claude Code as part of my day-to-day loop. I'm pragmatic about stacks — pick the thing that makes the next six months easier, not the thing that won the last news cycle.

Off the clock

• Board games, video games, and the occasional all-consuming puzzle.
• Live music — almost any genre, almost any venue.
• Beer, especially the kind that took someone an unreasonable amount of effort to make.
• Philosophy, when the rest of life leaves room for it.
